Apple Ipad 2 was released by CEO of Apple in San Francisco, CA today. Some of the new things in Apple Ipad 2 are:

1) Apple Ipad 2 will be available in white and 
2) Will weigh only 1.3 pounds.  That is less than the Apple Ipad (1.5lbs)
3) It will have HDMI capability to connect to a TV screen. 
4) The new Apple Ipad will have faster processor A5 chip.(Dual Core)
5) The unit has 10 hour battery life as original.
6) A new iOS v4.3 will be available. iOS v4.3 will also be made available
   on March 11th. 
7) A new Imovie for Ipad will be available as well.
8) Iphone 4 will have a personal Hotspot using iOS v4.3.


The Apple Ipad 2 will be released simultaneously in 26 countries.


The service will be available on Verizon and AT&T at the same time in the US. Apple Stock rose more than $3 today.

Wireless charging market to grow from $1billion in 2012 to $11.8billion in 2020. Growth is expected in Consumer Application and industrial applications. which includes sensor networking and wireless slip rings for machinery that uses robotic arms and/or rotating joints, such as automated assembly and processing facilities and wind turbines. Other promising, albeit smaller, segments include electric vehicle charging, military applications, and mobile computing and communications devices.

Pike Research president, Clint Wheelock stated that  "applications for wilress power are diverse and ranging from mobile phones to electric vehicles. to unmanned aircraft and in the future wireless transmission will have the capability of sending large amounts of power to remote locations."

E-coupled are industrial use application that allows manufacturers to integrate this technology in the appliances. Wheelock added that the industry taking shape around wireless power includes major manufacturers like General Motors and General Electric, as well as startups such as WiTricity, Pure Energy Solutions, and Powermat.

There are hurdles in this business currently since no interoperable standards are there currently. However, these will be overcome and a potential to reach a $12 billion market is expected by 2020.
